Randonee Ski Racing:
Ski Mountaineering
presented by Bryan Wickenhauser
Come join Bryan Wickenhauser, member of the 2008 US Ski Mountaineering Team,
for an evening of video, slides, and discussion about the randonee ski racing
scene in Colorado, the US and Europe. Ski mountaineering (rando racing) combines
the aerobic endurance of skinning up hill with the technical skills of big mountain
ski descents. Colorado is home to one of the most active racing series in the
country, the COSMIC Ski Mountaineering Cup. In addition to video coverage of
the big Euro races, Bryan will share experience with the training, the gear
and how to get involved in the local racing scene.
