Rental Pickups

  1. Visit the “Rentals” page on our website or come in-store.
  2. Select the gear you want to rent, the duration of your rental, and any relevant size information.
  3. Input your address.
  4. Sign the waiver for your rental; separate bookings will require separate waivers.  
  5. Add your billing information and click “Reserve”.
  6. Pick up your rental on the start date of your reservation or after 2 PM the day before.

Rental Returns

  1. Bring all rented items to the Neptune Ski Shop desk on your return date or before 11 AM on the following day.
  2. Wait for a Neptune employee to inspect all returned items and check off your return.
  3. Unless gear is missing or damaged, you’re free to go; no receipt or paperwork needed. 
  4. Optional: Let the staff member know where you went and how your trip was.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to make an online reservation, or can I do everything in person?

An online reservation streamlines the rental process. However, you’re welcome to come into the store and work with a staff member to build your reservation. As with all rental methods, your desired gear and rental dates are subject to availability.

Can I pick up my rental early?

Yes! You may pick up your rental between 2 PM and 7 PM on the day before your reservation starts.

Is there a fee for returning a rental late?

You may return rental gear between 9 AM and 11 AM the day after your reservation. If you return any rental items after 11 AM, you will be charged for an additional day.

I made a mistake on my reservation. Can I change it?

You can contact us at 303-499-8866, or at info@neptunemountaineering.com and we can handle any cancellations. You can also see us in-store, and we’ll adjust it for you at pickup. Updates will depend on product availability and other existing reservations.

Do I have to clean the gear before I return it?

We expect any gear to be returned clean and in good working order. While we disinfect every piece of gear between rentals, clean returns allow us to prepare for the next reservation. If you have any questions about the return conditions, please speak with the team when you pick up or drop off a rental.

How far in advance should I make a reservation?

We recommend making a reservation as soon as you confirm the details of your trip. We have limited inventory and fill up quickly during the prime summer months.

What happens if I lose or damage a piece of rental gear?

We will charge the full price of the lost or damaged item.
