Our Commitment

Neptune Mountaineering welcomes all. That value has guided our shop since 1973, and it extends to our website. Neptune Mountain LLC, doing business as Neptune Mountaineering, is committed to making www.neptunemountaineering.com usable by the widest possible audience, including people with disabilities and people who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, and keyboard navigation.

Conformance Status

Our goal is to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG defines requirements for making web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities.

The Site is currently partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the Site do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively working to identify and remediate these areas, and we treat accessibility as an ongoing responsibility rather than a one-time project.

Measures We Are Taking

To improve the accessibility of the Site, we are:

  • Reviewing the Site on an ongoing basis to identify and address accessibility barriers, including page structure, navigation, forms, and the checkout process;
  • Structuring product and editorial content with meaningful headings and clearly organized information to support screen reader navigation;
  • Incorporating accessibility into how we create and update Site content going forward;
  • Evaluating third-party tools and features used on the Site for their accessibility impact;
  • Maintaining a direct feedback channel, described below, and treating reported barriers as a priority.

Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, some content on the Site may not yet be fully accessible. Some product images, specifications, and media are supplied by the brands and manufacturers we carry, and some Site features rely on third-party services whose accessibility we do not fully control. Where we identify barriers in these areas, we work to remediate them or to provide the same information or functionality through an alternative accessible means.

Feedback and Assistance

We want to hear from you. If you experience difficulty accessing any part of the Site, encounter content that is not accessible to you, or need assistance completing a purchase, please contact us:

When you contact us about an accessibility barrier, please describe the issue and the page or feature involved. We aim to respond within four (4) business days. Our staff will work with you directly to provide the information, product details, or purchase assistance you need through an alternative method — including placing an order by phone — while we work to address the underlying barrier.

Assessment Approach

Neptune Mountaineering currently assesses the accessibility of the Site through self-evaluation. As our accessibility program develops, we may supplement self-evaluation with automated testing tools and external review.
